Its beyond me how the book upon which this was based garnered so much controversy, and I'm boggled how anyone could be fooled into accepting the books outlandish claims. Although it makes sense, as I don't think the majority of people who read it had any knowledge of the source materials from which the plot was derived.
I never read the book, but I heard enough about, having seen several documentaries on the book. Of course we are talking about the film here. As a film the Da Vinci Code is highly entertaining and interesting, I personally love the kinds of film which take disparate concepts and waive them into an original story. This brings to mind movies such as "From Hell" and to leaser extant JFK, one of my favorite films.
