The only problem I have with the film is that it would have been better if a few of the surprise ending were removed toward the end of the film.

I love eXistenZ. I found the Matrix pretty patronizing and actually kind of dull. eXistenZ might have been better off with a softer touch at the end, but what could have gone are not necessarily elements of the surprise ending, but the question "are we still in the game?" Does it need to be asked? Isn't it clear that's a concern? Feels transparent.

Yeah I agree, it was a little too drawn out, it definitely is a little3 more complex then the Matrix, but I cant agree with the rest, I loved the Matrix, its a shame they had to ruin it by doing the sequels
