The movie "Popeye" with Robin Williams from Paramount/Disney, I believe has a gnostic subplot. It even lines up pretty well with Tron: Legacy. Pappy is the Most-high God (and revealed to be the commodore of the town) trapped on Bluto's (demiurge) boat named "Vile Body." Popeye (Christ) wanders into the town, fight for and wins Olive Oyl's (Sophia) honor and ousts Bluto's taxman (lesser god) Sweet Pea (a representation of the Christ child) comes into the picture with the power to fortell the future. Bluto, vengeful as he is, kidnaps Sweet Pea. Popeye must once again save everyone by fighting bluto and the beast (octopus). May be a stretch, but for me the boat called "Vile Body" gave it away. Probably other clues there as well, that I missed.
