The Fifth Element is a 1997 science fiction film starring Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman, Milla Jovovich, and Ian Holm. Mostly set during the twenty-third century, the film's central plot involves the survival of humanity which becomes the duty of a taxicab driver (and former special forces major) named Korben Dallas (Willis) when a young woman "Lee Loo" (Jovovich) falls into his taxicab. Upon learning of her significance, Dallas must join efforts with the girl and a priest (Holm) to recover four mystical stones which are the key to defending Earth from an impending attack of pure evil and destruction.

This was a good movie with several moments of fun mixed in with the more seroius plot line. I especially liked all the creatures that are encountered throughout the film. I really liked the symbolism of the stones and the role of the Lee-Loo as the fifith element in that she has to have faith in the univeres in order to save it.
